2018 Heart-A-Rama Auditions!!!


With 2018 just around the corner, we at Heart-A-Rama want to remind everyone that the 2018 audition times are also quickly approaching. The theme for our 48th year will be Stay Classy Heart-A-Rama and will feature some fun performances such as; The Kewaunee Hickbillies, Dancin' Fool, People wanting to be a Millionaire and Sinnerella as this years musical.

Auditions will be held on February 8th(Thursday) in the Capitol Civic Centre Mertens/Kadow Room at 7:00 PM. We will also have a second audition on February 11th(Sunday) in the Capitol Civic Centre Mertens/Kadow Room at 1:00 PM

Heart-A-Rama 2017 raised a total of $83,900 thanks to the dedicated efforts of more than 200 volunteers, sponsors and patrons. $75,510 was donated to the American Heart Association, Midwest Affiliate. The remainder was used to purchase 10 Automated External Defibrillators (AED's) which have been distributed to public gathering places throughout Manitowoc County. Heart-A-Rama has raised over $2.7 million in 47 years to help fund research in the fight against heart disease.

Our show dates are April 26, 27, 28 and May 3, 4 and 5 at the J.E. Hamilton Community House in Two Rivers. If you are interested in becoming part of the Heart-A-Rama team, we hope to see you there. Audience Contest

Life sure is good when you have a chance to win a fabu prize from Heart-A-Rama valued at $2.00 or more!  You read that right.... valued at two whole dollars or more...

Of course there are rules....

1.  Ticket holders only - contest is not open to cast and crew

2.  Winner will be announced at the show - so yes, you need to be there to collect your fabu prize

2017 Auditions



Auditions for Heart-A-Rama 2017 –“Jitters” - are set for 7:00, Thursday, February 9 and 1:00, Sunday, February 12in the Mertens/Kadow Room at the Capitol Civic Centre.  Audtionees will be asked to read from a provided script and sing of song of their choice.  Directors request that those auditioning provide a list of conflicts for the months of February  through April

 2017 marks the organization’s 47th year of fund-raising fun and will be presented  at the J.E. Hamilton Community House in Two Rivers on April 27,28, 29 and May 4, 5 and 6 2017.  Directors Bev Denor, Lisa Novachek, Ellen Peronto, Jim Pautz  have assembled a collection of skits and musical numbers highlighting comical worries and phobias such as night terrors, fear of millennials, and anxiety over finding the perfect (pri)mate. 

 Heart-A-Rama 2016 raised $91,570.02. $82,413 was presented to Karla Lodholtz, Vice President of the American Heart Association-Wisconsin Affiliate. The remainder stays in Manitowoc County to support local heart health needs and for education.

 General chairpersons, Tom Bartelme, Diane Hansen and Karen Schweitzer-Olson are happy to announce the following additions and changes to the organization’s planning team: Juliet Kosarzycki and Kelsi Kaminski, advertising; Katie Eichmann, choreographer; Barb Bundy-Jost, program design; Stephanie Carpenter, theme logo design; Charles Allger and James Gordon, production assistants.  Mary Ann Knier will paint the “Best Seat in the House” to be auctioned off each night prior to the official opening of the all volunteer variety show.   Art students, under the advisorship of Assistant Art Professor Erin LaBonte, will handle all set painting needs.  Pianist and vocal coach respectively are Phillip Weatherford and Paul Reilly.
