Audition Time!

Oh boy...time to pack your gig bag and make-up kit and join the HAR circus.  Make your family, friends and neighbors green with envy when you tell them you get to play a depressed seagull, a crazed Alice in wonderland, a middle age virgin, or a furry critter of some ilk.

That's right, auditions are coming up.  Here's the scoop:

Auditions for Heart-A-Rama 2016

6:30 Tuesday, February 2 

in the Mertens Family Lobby/ Kadow Movie Museum at the Capitol Civic Centre.  Anyone 21 or older is welcome to audition. Those auditioning will be asked to read from a provided script and sing a song a capella.  Auditionees are asked to bring a list of scheduling conflicts for March and April.  Those cast must be available for all scheduled rehearsals, dress rehearsals on April 24 and 25, and all performance.

Heart-A-Rama 2016, “From the Cutting Room Floor”, will take place at the J.E.Hamilton House in Two Rivers April 28-30 and May 5-7.  Directors Bev Denor, Brad Zimmerman, Lisa Novachek, Ellen Peronto and Jim Pautz have cleaned their “creative attics” and written skits using ideas they have been stockpiling for several years. UW-Manitowoc music major, Sam Oswald, is the new pianist.  Oswald has appeared in high school productions, and has provided music for mystery dinner theatre events sponsored by the Office of Continuing Education at UW-Manitowoc.

 Heart-A-Rama 2015 raised over $91,000, bringing the organization’s total fund-raising efforts to over 2.5 million.
