Thanks to the efforts of over 200 volunteers, loyal patrons, and sponsors, Heart-A-Rama 2016 raised $91,570.02. $82,413 was presented to Karla Lodholtz, Vice President of the American Heart Association-Wisconsin Affiliate. The remainder stays in Manitowoc County to support local heart health needs and  for education.

Producers and directors have begun plans for Heart-A-Rama 2017 celebrating the organization’s 47th year of bringing fund-raising fun to the Lakeshore. Producers Bev Denor and Brad Zimmermann promise a variety show reflecting the year’s theme, “Jitters”.  Directors Bev Denor, Lisa Novachek, Ellen Peronto, Jim Pautz and Brad Zimmermann have assembled a collection of skits and musical numbers highlighting comical worries and phobias such as night terrors, fear of millennials, and anxiety over finding the perfect (pri)mate.  Heart-A-Rama 47 will be presented at the J.E. Hamilton Community House in Two Rivers on April 27,28, 29 and May 4, 5 and 6 2017.

General chairpersons, Tom Bartelme, Diane Hansen and Karen Schweitzer-Olson are happy to announce the following additions and changes to the organization’s planning team: Juliet Kosarzycki and Kelsi Kaminski, advertising; Katie Eichmann, choreographer; Barb Bundy-Jost, program design; Stephanie Carpenter, theme logo design; Charles Allger and James Gordon, production assistants.  Art students, under the advisorship of Assistant Art Professor Erin LaBonte, will handle all set painting needs.
